Higher Education for the children of India

The children that are part of the New Hope Children's home come from villages situated deep in the jungles of India.  In general, children go to school, but many drop out early and are not able to pursue any type of college education.  Girls, especially, are not allowed to go after an advanced education and are most often forced to marry. 

Some of the children that have had the privilege of living at the New Hope Children's Home, are completing school through the 12th grade and are wanting to pursue a college education. 

We currently have 5 students wanting to work towards a BA or B.Ed (Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education).  The tuition for these courses is $136 per semester and 8 semesters are required to get a degree.  The total cost per student would be $1,088.  (This does not include the cost of lodging, food, clothing, transportation or other needs)

Total for 5 students:   $5,440

We also currently have 3 students wanting to work towards a B. Sc (Bachelor of Science/Nursing).  This course runs $775 per year and they would need to complete 3 years.  The total cost per student would be $2,325.  (Again, this does not include lodging, food, clothing, transportation or other needs)

Total for 3 students:  $6,975

 

Why give to Mid India Church Partners (MICP)

Years ago when we were introduced to MICP, (which in part exists to educate and care for children from persecuted families) we decided to head over to India to see for ourselves the real impact this ministry has on those sweet children.  And we were BLOWN AWAY!!!  We had no idea that upon meeting Dr. Vivert and Neelam Lall, and of course the precious children, our lives would be forever changed. Many of the children on their campus have lost their parents or are in hiding because of their faith; yet through their pain and loss, the children exude a joy we have never seen before. Neelam and Vivert love each of these children as their own and provide education and stability to them all.  While Covid has limited our trips to India, we continue to support their efforts financially.  Please join us in blessing these precious children. - Nilesh and Monica Goswami:
